Muratec's F-98
plain-paper fax joins the ranks of the industry-recommended machines
of the Muratec F-Series family as a mid-volume fax with high-volume
features.
The F-98's performance and price are an attractive combination for the mid-volume market. In fact, many of the features found on the F-98 can also be found on Muratec's high-volume faxes, including the BLI-Recommended F-150, F-120 and F-95. Like advanced computers and workstations, Muratec's F-98 also features a 32-bit FaxRISC microprocessor to power its operation. Graphics-intensive computers around the world take advantage of RISC technology, and Muratec is the first manufacturer to harness that power for the purpose of fax. With Class 1 software and the F-98's standard serial port, users also get flexible PC-to-fax connectivity, allowing users to transmit, receive and scan directly from their computers. The F-98 combines dual-access operation, a document memory expandable to 276 pages, a fast 6-second transmission speed and a maximum paper capacity of 650 sheets for simultaneous letter- and legal-sized paper use. The F-98 also includes a large, 30-page document feeder and a quick, 5.7-second quick scan. |
